This delightful watercolour is a small and delicate study attractively set off by a strong oak frame. The initials, colouring and subject matter possibly suggest (Sir) Frank Brangywn (1867 - 1956), whose works are displayed in numerous museums and were the subject of a retrospective at the RA in 1952; but I remain doubtful. |
